Electra Simon (b. 1994)
The belief in the unity of all beings is explored throughout Electra’s body of work. The Divine, in all its forms, is no exception to this connection. And so, we are one.
The concept embarks on its pilgrimage to find a sense of oneness. We follow trails of thought, streams of consciousness, passing emotions, as we break down the separation of one to another. The skin, in its transluscent fluidity, blends and warps all sense of self.
But perhaps what’s most moving, is how these connections travel out from the canvas, into our own consciousness, and even onwards in conversation.
And so the pilgrimage continues...
