About +
Electra Simon is a London-based artist whose practice explores memory and its relationship to place through painting, drawing, and participatory projects. Her work reflects both personal experience and broader cultural narratives, inviting a deeper examination of how memories and experiences exist in relation to the spaces around us.
At the heart of Electra’s work is Confessions, an ongoing project in which individuals share personal stories that she translates into symbolic paintings. Through this interactive process, she explores how memories and experiences shift and accumulate across people, materials, and space. By making these stories tangible, her work reflects the interconnection between individual memory and shared experience, revealing the traces we leave in the places we inhabit.
Electra is a self-taught artist. She is currently presenting Confessions, a solo installation at Harlesden High Street, London (16 February–26 March 2026). She recently exhibited her solo show at BATE Social Store, Madrid (2025); Maison Pan, London, UK, group show (2025); Takeover Gallery, Beirut, solo show (2024); Everything is Going Upside Down, Islamabad, group show (2024); Not For Sale Gallery, London, group show (2023); Oranj Wine Show, London, UK (2023); and Open House Hackney, London, solo show (2022). She has participated in residencies at Boisbuchet, Lessac, France (2023) and Dastaangoi, Islamabad, Pakistan (2022).
